As Winter Break comes to an end, we have met with our public health departments and nursing team to review the data on our school and community COVID cases. The good news is that new cases over the past week have trended downward in both Chatham and Harwich. New COVID cases are low enough that we can safely resume in-person learning tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 22, and we need staff and families to help us continue to keep them that way.
If you have traveled out of state during the vacation week, please follow the Massachusetts’ Travel Order and be tested before returning to school. Testing is available by appointment at the pharmacy drive-through at CVS in Harwich Port, at Outer Cape Health Services in Harwich Port, and at Carewell Urgent Care in Dennis - a full list of testing locations can be found here. Failure to comply with the Massachusetts’ Travel Order may result in the student being sent home until the order is followed.
There are still a handful of classes and cohorts that will be learning remotely for a few days; see the COVID dashboard on our website for the list and return dates. Aside from those, all Monomoy in-person learning students will return to our school buildings tomorrow.
