The focus of my history teaching is the preparation of good citizens. Foundational knowledge of US government, critical thinking skills, and effective communication are incorporated into all my classes. The 2019-20 school year marks the 42nd year of my teaching career.

The Art of War Club. See Mr. Houston in room 235 for details about this club that focuses on watching and discussing films about war. Examples: Casablanca, The Longest Day, Band of Brothers, All Quiet on the Western Front, Bridges at Toko Ri, Platoon, The Pacific, Sands of Iwo Jima.
