I entered the "family business" of education (after my father and before my son) after realizing that my love of English words had taken over my love of Italian singing. After studying classical voice in both New York and Italy, I decided to devote myself to a degree in English, which I received from Lehman College, CUNY, graduating Summa Cum Laude as a member of the Gold Key Society. After marrying Tim from Massachusetts, I attended Tufts University on a full scholarship and earned both a Master's in English and a Master's in Teaching English. I taught at Chatham High for 22 years and have been happily teaching at Monomoy since our opening! Tim and I have two fantastic sons who are accomplishing wonderful things! We love animals, and we all LOVE the New York Yankees! I was born, raised, and educated in the Bronx! I LOVE to teach creative writing, and one of my goals is to publish a book of my poetry someday. This year, 2023-24, I am teaching CP World Literature, Honors World Literature, Creative Writing II: Global Outlook, CP American Literature, and American Film Stereotypes.
