I love teaching and am so happy to be back where I started my career in first grade. I graduated from Lesley University and later moved to Virginia to become a reading specialist, graduating from the University of Virginia with my Master's in Reading. I worked as a reading specialist for many years before returning to the Cape to teach 7th and 8th Grade Humanities at Chatham Middle School. I felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to return to first grade a few years ago and love being part of the first grade team. All of my children (and grandchildren) have moved back to the Cape. Family keeps me grounded and busy. In my free time I love to hike along less traveled paths on the Cape with my labrador, Maizie.
