Ms. Nyerick

Ms. Nyerick is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. Ms. Nyerick continued her education at American International College, receiving a Masters in Education (1-6) in 2019.

Her love for Cape Cod's natural history began when she was just a little kid, visiting the Cape with her family and younger sister every year. Upon graduating, she moved to Wellfleet, where she taught as an educational naturalist with the Mass Audubon Society for several years. She has previously taught as a math interventionist as well as a science teacher at Chatham Elementary. Currently, she is the STEM teacher at Monomoy Regional Middle School, teaching grades 5 & 6.

Her passions certainly extend beyond science education. She currently offers both an acting and playwriting seminar course at the middle school. This course offers an opportunity for students to express their creativity, gain confidence and self-esteem while learning about the elements of theater.

In her free time, Ms. Nyerick is an avid gardener, actress and dog lover. She recently welcomed a Golden Retriever puppy named Crosby into her life! She is grateful for each day, both in the classroom and in our lovely home on Cape Cod.
